Has anyone replaced the throttle trim button on a 2008 VP? I'm thinking about changing mine out and would love to hear about your experiences. Specifically, I'm curious about the steps you took and where you found the replacement parts. Any suggestions or recommended vendors would be really appreciated!

I haven't done it myself, but replacing the throttle trim button on a 2008 Volvo Penta is usually pretty simple, just take off the control handle to get to the button. Most find parts from marine dealers or ebay and MarinePartsSource. Id recommend going for OEM parts though to avoid issues.

here's your parts sources:
Authorized Volvo Penta dealers which is your most reliable source for genuine parts
Online marine parts retailers, I mean websites like MarinePartsExpress , Jamestown Distributors, or Defender Marine often carry a range of OEM and aftermarket VP parts
Used parts/boat salvage yards, this one is if you want a cheaper option, check online marine marketplaces (like eBay, Facebook Marketplace for marine groups) or local boat salvage yards.
remember to be very specific with your year and control model
