Replacing bonding wires

Not long ago, I bought a 2006 Vista 278, and now it's time to hit the water. However, I've noticed that the bonding wires should be immediately replaced because they're loose. Does anyone have an idea on how to replace them by myself, or will I have to find a mechanic to do the job? Is it easy and straightforward, or does it require more?

If you'r comfortable doing electrical work you can diy it, but make sure you're careful and have the right set of tools. You'll need marine grade tinned copper wide 8 or 10 awg, crimping heat shrink terminal and make sure the all bonding points have a solid and corrosion free connections. Try to find a bonding layout so that you know what you're doing and have a multimeter at hand to test continuity. It's not overly complicated, but if you're not sure you can do it, it might be best to talk to a professional

Anytime I see sketchy bonding wires, I get flashbacks to my buddy's boat that kept shocking us every time we touched the rail, it is definitely not fun and needs to be checked by a pro

Actually it isn't too complicated if you're comfortable with basic electrical work, trace the wires, disconnect the old ones carefully, and attach new marine grade bonding wires with proper crimps or terminals but yeah who knows you may also end up like @The3o and his buddy lol, its a boat , I think a pro should handle it
