Does anyone know what materials the Stringers and Transom are made of in the 2005 Horizon 180 Ski and Fish wood or composite? Im looking at purchasing one and would appreciate any insights on common issues or things to watch for. The boat I'm considering appears to be in average condition for its age but I’d love to hear from current or past owners before making a decision.

Four Wins started using all-composite construction in the early 2000s to avoid wood rotting so you're safe from those concerns. Just make sure to confirm the engine condition, if possible, ask for a compression test, if it's in good condition according to the age and price then it's safe to buy.

The stringers and transom in the boat you mentioned are made of a composite, not wood. have you checked the condition? I'm curious about the price

So, the 2005 Horizon 180 usually has composite stringers, meaning no wood. But, Four Winns says the transom is made of marine plywood covered in fiberglass. Keep in mind that 2005 was a transition year, so some boats might be a little different.
